The Why
Video games + HR can be a mixed bag. Often time with sub par (at most) HR practices that usually try and emulate big tech. I think the industry is uniquely ready to define itself by creating Talent/HR system/rituals that are tailored for game/creative organizations. The reality is game development is getting easier and more accessible. We’re seeing big tech making it a prioirty (Amazon/Twitch, Google/Unity) and that’s what I want to focus on. The small/medium size entertainment studios looking to create and foster badass people to do badass things.
